Stephanie Cousins
Dr. Cousins is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental care. She takes the time to understand each of her patients’ unique needs and provides personalized treatment with a gentle, detail-oriented approach.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After earning her first dental degree in Brazil, Dr. Cousins received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. During her time there, she was recognized for her leadership, clinical excellence, and dedication to the profession. She received multiple honors, including the Outstanding Student of the Year Award and the Leader in General Dentistry Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. She also has a particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry as well as orthodontics, dedicating several hours of continuing education to them each year.
Dr. Cousins remains an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). She is also passionate about serving others and has provided care to underserved communities on dental mission trips to Mexico and Brazil.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from New York, Dr. Cousins grew up in Brazil and is fluent in English and Portuguese. She has a passion for photography and enjoys capturing meaningful moments and memories. Outside of dentistry, she likes to travel and spend quality time with her husband, Rafael, and their dog, Boris.
